The United States Association for Computational Mechanics (USACM) will co-sponsor the 7th World Congress on Computational Mechanics (WCCM-VII) on July 16-22, 2006 at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza Hotel in Los Angeles, California. The bi-annual WCCM is also co-sponsored by the International Association for Computational Mechanics, a worldwide organization with 27 affiliated organizations representing 35 countries.

The WCCM-VII Organizing Committee is soliciting organizations interested in participating in our Sponsorship and Exhibitors Program. Based on the attendance at recent World Congresses (Beijing China in September 2004, and Vienna Austria in July 2002) we expect 1600-2000 participants for the Los Angeles venue; more than 1400 attended the 2004 Beijing Congress.

Congress participants are drawn from industry, academia, and government with an approximate split of 20% from industry, 60% from academia, and 20% from national laboratories and government agencies. The participants have a broad interest in computational mechanics with the majority working or researching in solid mechanics. Attendee interest is rapidly expanding the areas of nanomechanics, biomechanics, materials science, computational fluid mechanics, and applied and computational mathematics.

Congress participants will be interested in viewing and discussing publications, software, hardware, and other materials, including educational, related to computational mechanics in our Exhibitor Area. The Exhibitor Area includes over 23,000 square feet of available space, which can hold 155 8’x10’ Exhibits or 116 10’x10’ Exhibits. The exhibitor booths and coffee break setups will be located together in the California Showroom (click here to view the floorplan) to provide maximum traffic for our exhibitors.

With attendees from over 40 countries, in addition to an expected increased participation by residents of the United States, exhibiting at this World Congress provides a unique cost effective opportunity to present your product or service to a large international audience.
